The piece
An illustrated Porsche 911 bonnet: in black and white, a driver adjusts his race suit, studded with period sponsor patches; in the foreground, in colour, a No. 27 rally 911 kicks up mud. Sealed under a gloss varnish, the piece draws all its power from the contrast between the portrait and the car. Hang it on a wall or stand it upright.
