The piece
A period American petrol pump, fully restored: bodywork straightened and lacquered in silver grey, black flanks, original crank handle and nozzle reconditioned, gallon counter under glass. The globe backlights the Stuttgart crest and plugs into a standard household socket. Set at the entrance to a garage or a living room, it changes the scale of the space.
